Mental Health, Performance and Dance Science Education
Terry Hyde MA MBACP FRSA is a former professional dancer, psychotherapist, educator and speaker specialising in the psychological, emotional and educational needs of dancers.
Drawing upon lived experience as a professional performer and more than two decades of clinical practice, Terry delivers workshops, lectures, keynote presentations and professional development programmes for dance schools, vocational institutions, universities, dance companies and professional organisations worldwide.
His work bridges the gap between performance, psychology, mental health wellbeing and dance science, helping dancers, teachers and healthcare professionals better understand the challenges faced within dance training and performance environments.

RAD Artistic Director, Alexander Campbell, was joined by a panel of former scholars, including Wayne Sleep, Marguerite Porter, Marion Tait, Anita Young, Terence (Terry) Hyde and Rebecca Holmes (Trevitt), who shared their personal experiences.
